The Cape Town edition... Welcome to my ramblings, if you care to read on, you will sooon find that this is mostly an attempt to record the things I'd want to remember one day but probably wouldn't. This of course is due to my absolutely rubbish memory.

Books Vs Films?

Simple question, I know its not always the case, but I believe there are times (for me its more often than not) that a movie is better than the book. Oh the Horror’s you say!
How dare I say that movies are better than books. Take Cold Mountain for instance, a book I would never have read, why would I pick up a book with that kind of title, no chance. But I watched the film, and I loved it, does the fact that I am now aware of the book make the movie better? Or is it something else, as now I can go and find the book if I wanted to.

What about Fight Club, I’ve read about ¾ of the book, and it is in no way better than the film. How about the John Grisham books? How boring, but the films are good, weeks (for me) of reading condensed into a nice hour and 45 minutes, what more could you ask for? All the important bits are there, and sometimes the visuals are way better than your mind can create.

So whatever your argument is, which is better? Books or movies?
(I know I’m going be done over on this one)
