The Cape Town edition... Welcome to my ramblings, if you care to read on, you will sooon find that this is mostly an attempt to record the things I'd want to remember one day but probably wouldn't. This of course is due to my absolutely rubbish memory.

Not the end of Ralph

I find it quite strange that with the amount of movies I watch I have never taken much notice of Ralph Fiennes. Maybe its because I haven’t seen many of his films (running through his filmography on IMDB), but this weekend I happened to suddenly own 3 movies in which he appeared, 1. The English Patient (which I still haven’t seen) 2. The Bounty (very good for its time, and even now) and another one with Julianne Moore, pretty good too.

So there I am watching these movies this weekend and it slowly dawns on me, he’s really good! I love the guys acting, although he kind of makes me think of Richard Gere a little, a man I don’t like, he always plays himself no matter what movie he’s in, he’s not George Orwell, or Jack Bauer, or John Smith, he’s Richard Gere, in every film he’s in, always the smooth talking over rated, grey haired ladies man, why do they swoon over him? He’s old! Think about what’s beneath that silk shirt, OLD skin, wrinkled and weather, ugggh. Anyways back to Ralph, so yeah I’m going be following his stuff for a while, you should too.

A bit of interseting info, did anyone know that his name is pronounced 'Rafe', and not 'Ralph'?
