The Cape Town edition... Welcome to my ramblings, if you care to read on, you will sooon find that this is mostly an attempt to record the things I'd want to remember one day but probably wouldn't. This of course is due to my absolutely rubbish memory.

Clark Kent

I was blog browsing again and came across a link on some dudes blog, I got so distracted by the site, that I forgot to read his blog.

Its a site dedicated to geeks and 'geek culture', while reading through some of their rather strange material, I started wondering am I a geek? The following paragraph answered my question:

'But the big question on your mind..... are YOU a Geek?Since you have somehow found yourself at geekculture.com, chances are relatively good that you’re a geek or geek wanna-be. If not, it may be that there is a tiny Geek inside of you waiting to blossom. Geek Culture® hopes you will nurture this Geek seed, and cherish it for the wonderful, quirky, exhilarating thing it is.'

Something I can relate to:
“Geekosphere” is a term used to describe the area in the immediate vicinity around your computer. Most people personalize this zone with various cultural objects that have significant meaning to them (Star Trek memorabilia, photos of pets, tribbles, old coffee cup collections, pizza crusts, dippy ducks, etc.).

My geekosphere consisted of 2 star wars toys from KFC, a James Bond postacard, Batgirl action figure, and various other comic book related things, frinday nights would normally involve the addition of one or two pizza boxes.
