The Cape Town edition... Welcome to my ramblings, if you care to read on, you will sooon find that this is mostly an attempt to record the things I'd want to remember one day but probably wouldn't. This of course is due to my absolutely rubbish memory.

Not so anymore

I wrote this post while still in London, and then after decindign to return to Cape Town figured it was a pointless post, well its been lying around here, and I've still got people in Lodnon reading this, so here guys, this is my opinion:

The ever beautiful London Winter is here, not yet in full force, but definately here. Its constant, cold, wet, dull and yet so beautiful. Everyone is so morbid and semi-depressed (probably victims of S.A.D.) that anything remotely attractive or different stands out like a punk rocker at a funeral.

The glowing christmas lights down Oxford street, the exhaustively decorated window displays, and best of all, the reflections of all this on the wet roads. Winter in London doesnt have to be as gloomy as everyone makes out to be. As long as youve got a warm body to hold onto and a thick scarf around your neck, you'll be just fine.

As for me? I've got the scarf.

Yeah, but that was then, I'm now in the sunniest of Cities in the world, celebrating one of the hottest Christmas periods around... and I got sunburned today :)
