Movies 1
I didnt know what to write today, so I thought I'd list some movies that I think everybody should watch if they havent already seen them.
1. Cold Mountain
2. Last of the Mohicans
3. Blow
4. Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys
5. Family Man
("Virgin Suicides" needs a mention)
Theyre probably my favourite movies, but then again I love loads of movies so its difficult to make a list, as Chris and I have tried doing on many occasions. Every time we start, we come up with new rules/guidelines as to what can and cant be included. There are numerous reasons why movies may get excluded, i.e. The Lord of the Rings trilogy is absolutely brilliant, but if you include all three movies, so many others get excluded, LOTR gets an 'honoury' mention as does the original Star Wars trilogy, some films are automatically on your top 5 list, so they have to be excluded for space reasons etc.
What are your top 5 films? list them in the comments section, and dont be boring, do it! this is supposed to be an interactive sight, at the moment is pretty much I write and you read, so comment.

7 Comments:
1. Matrix I - the rest are crap
2. Back to the future I&II - all time classics, mind the pun
3. Meet the parents - feels like a documentary of my life
4. Big Fish - changed my life
5. Sorry, I have to do this... but the LOTR trilogy.
in no particular order of course.

Chris: As I was typing out my list, I just KNEW fight club is going to be your number 1. You know they're having a massive sale at Virgin and it's going for pretty cheap at the mo? Anyway, Zoolander is marginally funny, but by no means an ALL TIME CLASSIC! I'm yet to see the village. Basic story plot and would I like it?

ok, so we had a few days of team building in the Chiltern Hotel in Luton this week. After check-in I see that they have a pay-per-view tv system (at roughly the same price as the dvd). After closer inspection, I spotted the following titles on offer:
star whores
hot latinos II
teenage fantasy
the village
lesbian spank Inferno III
After coming back from team building dinner followed by team building drinks, I had some me-time in front of the telly at midnight. My choice was obvious. If Chris says the village is his number 3 movie of all times then lesbian spank inferno just has to wait.
I tried to keep awake through it all, honestly, I did. I think I dozed off with 1 minute to go, but I don't think I missed much as the punchline was about 10 minutes before the end. Again, I must say, I'm a bit dissapointed with your judgement on this one. Sure it's an interesting concept, but definitely not on the level of an all time classic. I'd give it a 6/10.

I wish there was no-one in my office right now, as the laughter you have caused cant be contained!!!!!!!!!
I must admit though, Chris and I never crossed porno's off our list, so I'll let him keep it on there. Im dissapointed Chris, you told me it was from the guy who did 6th sense! tsk tsk

I misread Nico's comment, i though there was a porno called the village, woops. i was expecting it to be a bit slow though, so i'll wait until i watch it befor i pass comment.
I have however come to your rescue Chris, I found your original list of favourite movies on your blog, so if you dont want to use the other one, you can use your original, which was:
Fight Club
The Matrix
American Beauty
Pulp Fiction
Braveheart
and not too bad..., still prefer mine though, ha ha
